Volunteer Profile

VICKI ZEIGLER

Congratulations to Vicki Zeigler!

Vicki has been a part of our VHS Animal Care Team since February 2008. She not only comes in twice weekly for her two shifts of Cat Socializing and Care & Comfort, but she has also been taking dirty laundry home to wash, dry and fold whenever our bins get too full. Vicki's upbeat attitude and great work ethic are big assets to Valley Humane Society. So much that she has recently moved up the ranks and become an official "LEAD Animal Care Volunteer." Vicki will now train new Volunteers, make basic Animal Care decisions and be trusted with additional LEAD responsibilities. Being a LEAD Animal Care Volunteer gives her the ability to pick up extra shifts whenever she is available. Vicki now has the knowledge and training to fulfill most Volunteer duties in the shelter. It is no secret that Vicki is not scared of some of the "icky" parts of animal rescue, such as ringworm, ill kitties and grumpy cats.

Vicki also has recently joined one of our event planning committees. The event "Great Catsby" is coming up July 18th and is sure to be a great success with Volunteers like Vicki at the helm. Vicki's joining of this committee was the final step in her becoming a LEAD Animal Care Volunteer. On top of this event Vicki has teamed up with co-LEAD Animal Care Volunteer Sharon Crompton and Natalie Giordano, Operations Manager, in planning a VHS garage sale on May 9th. Not only does she understand the day to day work of our organization, but she now is also involved in the fundraising that it takes to keep our doors open and our care levels high. Vicki is an endless source of support for Valley Humane Society.
Thank you & Congratulations Vicki!
